Update on Babywise with second child...

So ten years ago I had my first child and I researched like crazy and fortunately found Babywise. She was sleeping through the night at 7 weeks and she was a great baby. Very easy for me to understand if she was hungry, sick, or tired. I just had my son three weeks ago today and I've been doing the same thing with him and so far I'm having the same experience. Kyan is sleeping great and should be sleeping through the night in about four more weeks! I love Babywise and  it's made the horror stories on here seem absolutely ridiculous. Just an example, day before yesterday he was fussy and he's never fussy I knew he had ate and slept at his designated times and he was changed so something had to be bothering him...I noticed he was kicking his feet a lot during all this fussing and I realized he was probably having some issues with his tummy. I gave him some gas drops and in about 15 minutes he was back to normal. When you use a schedule instead of using the bottle/breast or holding your baby every time he cries, you're better able to decipher what those cries mean and better able to address the actual problem. It's completely out of character for Kyan to cry if he's not dirty, hungry, or sleepy so by following the schedule in the correct order, I'm able to know my baby better and to understand what is going on with him. He's truly a joy and I wouldn't change anything about the way I parent him. There's so many haters of Babywise because it's opposite of attachment parenting but honestly my kids are living proof that it works and it's actually better for the baby. Popping a tit in his mouth every time he cries would be more damaging to him and me. All the over tired and stressed parents with the crazy horror stories on here is proof enough for me. To each their own though.
Happy baby Kyan!
