My son was born at 26 wks at 1lb and 14oz. He's 10 yrs old now with average height and no delays. Your baby will receive tons of help. Like physical therapy, occupational and speech therapy to get your baby ready for head start. It's a program through board of Ed and it's at no cost and they come to your home. It's amazing!! And you will qualify for ssi due to baby's low birth weight and will require to stay home to care for your baby at least a year. They are very sensitive and tend to get sick a lot. It's a long journey but hang in there. They're so worth it. Congrats on your baby!!!
