Planning trip month after due date...?

Hey all! Husband and I are thinking about planning a trip back home across the country (4.5 hr flight) with baby to visit family and have baby's baptism - probably for a week. If we didn't visit then, we'd for sure go back next summer but baby will already be almost one! I'm nervous about traveling with a newborn and who knows how I'll be feeling only a month after after delivery. My heart isn't totally set on going and I am just trying to gather thoughts on whether the trip is a good idea. Any advice or words of wisdom? Thanks!
