Smoking marijuana while pregnant, is it okay?

My boyfriend & I have been discussing having a child in the near future.. I smoke marijuana for medical seasonings, and he looked at me yesterday and asked whenever I do get pregnant if I would still smoke.. I really don't know if I would or not yet, I got to do research, and find my own evidence. I was just wondering what others think of this. Say whatever you want to I won't get hurt.

The people who smoke are gonna tell you it's fine. The people who don't smoke are gonna tell you it's harmful.

There's been some studies, but not enough longitudinal research to conclude whether it's harmful or not.

Regardless of what the limited research says, you're taking a risk. Ultimately it's up to you to decide.

Just a warning, there are SO many people on here that are anti marijuana so they will give a lot of uneducated, biased advice.

It's not good to smoke anything during pregnancy, but there are ways you can use cannabis without smoking! I live in a legal state where our doctors are very supportive, if you do too then you can ask your doctor about options! There's vaping, edibles, tinctures, etc.

OMG no! It's not! Breathing smoke in while youre pregnant is never okay no matter what kind. Get you some marijuana  edibles if you insist on getting high while you're pregnant. This question is getting so old. It only takes basic knowledge of the human body and pregnancy to know the answer is NOOOO

Try candy if youre using them for morning sickness. The dispensary near me has Jolly Ranchers. The green apple ones are the best. If edibles dont work, talk to your doc about a level of smoking (vaping is actually worse) that is good for you and the baby and that the doctor is also comfortable with.

I'm weird about this. I think if you have no true medical reason to use it you shouldn't. As others have mentioned there hasn't been enough research done to say whether it's okay or not. I also personally wouldn't take advise from those who say "well my friend did and is fine" etc because it's a risk, not everyone is going to have the same reaction. And personally again if I was pregnant and wanted to be, I wouldn't be taking risks that i know could potentially hurt your baby and leave them with life long issues. I couldn't live with myself if something happened.

This is your choice ultimately. But don't be ignorant enough to think that because so and so did it and their fine so you will be. Because you don't know that and neither do your doctors.

On top of that again, I don't know your laws. But I'm pretty sure if they catch it in your system or your babies they will probably take your child.

It's all about if you are willing to take the risks
