Is this Honestly A Deal Breaker?

Hey everyone I am just looking for and opinion her and please kind words would be welcome and nothing rude about my boyfriend. Ok so we were talking today and he said how he doesn't want children well I do someday and when I asked him if he may change his mind in the future he said maybe but not for a couple years. Is him not wanting children a deal breaker??? I think he has fear because he was born sickly and not expected to survive. Though I Love him so much we have been together for almost 8 years and things are not always easy but there not bad either idk what to y'all think

It would be for me. I couldn't imagine my life without having kids someday and I'm not gonna put all my hopes and dreams on a 'maybe someday'

My husband threatens to divorce me if I ever uttered these words. He wants kids and I do too, but we agreed on having our first year of marriage to ourselves. Then after that we can ttc if he wants. 😊

He's never going to change mind. Just my experience. I had the we will talk about it in a couple of years talk. Couple of years passed and he made every excuse as to why we couldn't. I left 2 years after that (4years total). Now I'm with a man that treats me better than I ever could imagine and am 19 weeks pregnant.

The final straw with my ex husband was that he admitted he never wanted children and had lied to me about wanting kids from the very start and knew he was lying about something so important to me. I wasted 8 years on him that I never would have if I had know he didn't want kids! My husband now one of the very first things I asked him was I'd he wants kids because I wasn't about to waste so much more time.

I don't think so, really. I mean, if that were the case, my husband would not have married me because I didn't want kids. But I changed my mind. Or rather, I decided to give it a shot even if I was a bit hesitant.

Thanks Everyone and I decided that it's not a deal breaker he has legitimate and honest reasons that he explained to me about not wanting a baby not saying we won't maybe someday we will but for now we are still young and should focus on us :)

If it's been 8 years and he's still not sure then yes, it's a deal breaker, he should know by now
Also your fertility goes on the decline after your 20s

You can't bet on the thought that he may someday want kids. You have to get your mind ready that you may never have a child with him. That would be a deal breaker for me, but maybe not for some.
