How to get a job?

I'm so nervous about getting a job I know how bad I need it but I don't have the courage yet. Im a very shy person, and have social anxiety.. Im always quiet with nothing to say unless someone converses with me first. I don't know how to spark up conversation and haven't been around people in over a year.. I'm really nervous about my first interview what do I say? What do I wear? How should I do my hair? What kind of questions will they ask me? Any advice please!! I don't want to embarrass myself

Professional dress and neat hair, pulled into a neat bun if possible. As far as questions, Google typical interview questions and try to go through them in your head as far as what you would say and such.

I feel you on this! I'm in the same situation. I went in for an interview recently and it wasn't so bad! I wore dress slacks, a blouse, nice flats, hair clean/down, and try not to be too heavy on the makeup. I was actually dressed nicer than the girl that interviewed me and I think I was older. They're not suppose to ask you questions like your age and if you're married but she did. Just try not to let your insecurities and anxiety get the best of you or you'll talk yourself out of most things in life. It's like getting your ears peirced, it's scary and uncomfortable at first but when it's all over and done with its not so bad. Good luck!

Don't worry, everyone feels that way at some point! Clothes wise, go for smart dress, it's always better to be a bit too smart rather than too casual. Make sure you feel comfortable in your outfit/it fits properly so you're not distracted by it during the interview. As for your hair make sure it's neat, if you're a nervous fiddler (like I am) tie it back so you won't play with it. Interviewers like to see your personality as well as checking that you are the right fit for the job. Smile, say hello and ask how they are when you meet them. Shake their hand if you think it's appropriate.  make sure you know why you want to do the job you're interviewing for, that way you'll have a clear answer and not panic if they ask you. Also research the company a bit, it looks good if you know things about them. If you do make a mistake in your answers or start to feel flustered, just stop, say I'm sorry I'll clarify that and start again. It's not necessarily a bad thing.  You can also apologise and say you're a bit nervous.  Theyll have come across that before. And remember even if you don't get the job it's all experience for the next time! Good luck x
