Please help.. Not sure what to do..

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year. We've been sure we want to get married since before we got together. Our plan is for him to start working on his career and save money before we get married, which means it won't be for another 2-3 years. Me, being the very excited girl I am, I talk about getting married a lot! He used to talk about it a lot too.. But last week he told me that I'm starting to overwhelm him by talking about it so much. He said the idea of getting married isn't what overwhelms him but the repetitiveness of the conversations we have are. I told him I would back off but now I feel like I need to give him space. I feel like this is the beginning of the end. I may be interpreting this wrong or going about it the wrong way. I'm not sure what to do! He's the love of my life and I would hate to lose him.
