Moving in with SO.... Ladies

Is it normal to practice living with each other and after a week you start to bicker about little things, I'm a emotional girl and sometimes things he says jokingly I take to heart. Is this all normal? I'm new to this. All my past relationships were never this close and loving and talking about moving in, it was just weekly visits and dates.
