Breastfeeding tips. C-Section momma's

Mackenzie
I'm a FTM & I was just hoping to get some tips from others who have successfully breast fed with a c-section.
I'll be having a scheduled C-Section at 39 weeks and will be put under general anesthesia due to a previous back surgery.
My SO & i took a breast feeding class & I just wish I hadn't because I just became so discouraged.
Basically she said I have a low chance at breast feeding because I have so many factors working against me.
I won't have immediate skin to skin, I probably won't be alert from the anesthesia for a few hours & the first hour is crucial for a good latch etc.
I was just wondering if there were any ladies out there that could give me any advice. It's really important to me to be able to breast feed. But if it doesn't happen I know I will be fine & so will my daughter. I just really want to have that special bonding time.
