Is anyone else on citalopram?

I've been on citalopram for about 3 months now so not too long. I've read in early pregnancy it can cause heart defects in the baby. I've had some symptoms and really think I could be pregnant so two days ago I decided to stop taking it but yesterday I came up in a fever and cold sweats and felt awful and puked a little. Now I don't know if this is due to not taking the citalopram or just a bug going around. Does anyone have any experience I'd be grateful to know? Obviously can't ring my doctor yet as I don't have a 100% positive test. TIA ✨

I'm on it right now.  Been on it for just over a year. I'm 13 weeks and we are slowly cutting it down to nothing. I was on 10 mg a day then started doing 10 5 10 5 and now I'm on just 5 mg and in a couple weeks I'll do 5 every other day to just twice a week to nothing. My doctor recommend this cause going right off can cause problems.

I've been on citalopram for about 13 years and somehow I managed to forget it last year for about 5 days. I had cold sweats, dizzy, felt sick, I was convinced I was pregnant until I realised I hadn't been taking my tablets. I'd say your symptoms were more than likely from the tablets but you could always do a test to make sure. As for it harming a baby I have no idea as there are so many different things I've read, so probably best to check with your GP x
