Right or left side?

I am 14 wks pregnant and I sleep on my right side more than I sleep on my left. I have read online that sleeping on the right side can prevent blood flowing to the placenta. Has anyone read or heard anything about this? Is this true? Does anyone know?

My doc said sleep anyway you are comfortable early on in the pregnancy. Your body will tell you when you can no longer sleep flat on your back or a little more on your tummy. And either side is fine. Sleeping on your left supposedly increases blood flow to the placenta, however remember that humans have been giving birth for years and years before all this technology came out and babies turned out just fine. Enjoy it while you are smaller. You will miss the luxury of sleeping how you want.

But I sleep in my right every night and my kids are fine.

I've been told when you sleep on the left it helps everything develope faster, but idk if that's true or not.

I hear this when I was pregnant with my first but my midwife never ever mentioned it to me - bring it up with her and see what she says. In sure it will be fine if it's not yet been mentioned

Yes it is true . My mom slept on her right side & delivered a big healthy baby due to her including this technique throughout her pregnancy & she was high risk
