My mother wishes for us not to have a baby because she doesn't like my SO, (he has stopped her from stealing money,) and because she has stage four lung cancer.

Regardless of her views we are ttc nonetheless.

If I do become pregnant before her passing she will demand to know everything about the baby, things we don't necessarily want to disclose like name, gender, due date.

I am quite a private person and haven't had a close relationship with my mother. After years of every kind of abuse at her hands, things are starting to patch up.

But I'm not sure I want to be guilted for 4 months, (I plan on telling her at month 5 of the pregnancy) hearing how she may not make it to know what her grandchilds name is.

Am I being unreasonable or should I stand my ground?
