Migraine with Aura While Pregnant?

I experienced an aura and a mild migraine. Took a nap and once I woke up my right arm went number but got better when I moved around. The doctor talk me to go to the ER to be monitored but I think that is a bit extreme. Anyone have migraine issues?

Ooh I am so sorry! I've been lucky not to have one in my pregnancy yet, but I have suffered from them for years. The thing that made mine go from 1-3/week to 1 a month if that was monthly visits to the chiropractor, and monthly massages. Maybe try those things?

Yes I lost my vision in one eye and was in bed for an additional 12 hours before it got better. I feel your pain!

Ive only gotten ocular migraines (auras) when pregnant. It is due to hormones.

Stephanie, I suffer from these, too. And, I've noticed they happen when I haven't had enough water intake... Not so much dehydrated, just not hydrated enough... I get them with pregnancy, and they're only associated with pregnancy because I've never had them outside of being pregnant... They're scary, and very annoying. Have you been drinking enough?

Yup I use to have the same things happen! I was prescribed migraine meds since I had them so often and they made me sick! I grew out of it though and went from having them 3+ times a week to maybe a couple times a month.
