I think it depends on the position, depth of penetration, and several other factors. I almost always cramp after, but I also used to cramp without my IUD...

Yes sometimes (not every time) I get this also! Sometimes the penis can push on the strings of the IUD and I think that's what causes some pain after. I find its more so when I've had deeper penetration.
