Birth control options?

Thinking about getting back on birth control after my 6 weeks post Check up. I've had the mirena before, I hated it. I've tried pills I forget to take them. Heard bad things about the implant they put in your arm so I'm thinking about getting the shot? What are your thoughts? I could use some opinions!

The shot seemed great at the time for me because I didn't get any periods but it potentially has a lot of side affects. Some women bleed constantly, some very irregularly, it can cause weight gain, it can deplete calcium, it can make it difficult to get pregnant again right away after getting off if it... True, not everyone's body responds to it the same, but it's a lot of possibilities that I personally don't want to deal with again (plus when I was on it, I think it screwed with my hormones and my pH balance, ugh). I am also trying to figure out what would be the best birth control option for me! It's hard to decide.

My friend had the shot and had terrible side effects from it like really heavy bleeding during her period and really bad headaches and stuff.
