Is spotting common?

I got a copper IUD 3 weeks ago and the last day of my period was 1 week ago. I've never experienced spotting before the IUD. Is this common?

Yes, very normal.

I bleed for about 3 months stright give or take a few days. Cramps on and off now almost 7 months after I got my copper IUD I have had fully normal periods. they are all so getting shorter too which is nice.

I spotted a good six weeks and stopped. But does anyone still have a period?
