how long should I take off from work and school after a miscarriage? 😔

the nurses are letting me write the days of return on the note. 💖😔

My doctor gave me 3 days, my job didn't accept doctors notes so I almost lost my job, then I didn't even actually miscarry until I was back at work :/ it hurt so bad to flush her down a Walmart toilet

I think it depends on if you have surgery or not.  Physically a week but mentally I needed 2.

I started by taking a week off and then realized I needed longer. I'm a teacher and I ended up having three weeks off total and one of those weeks was spring break. My doctor recommended 4-6 to recover emotionally but I think it helps being at work and having a normal schedule.

It is your choice. I took off 3 days. I just felt that I could not sit in my bed and cry all day. I felt I was better off working and helping my patients. I was fortunate that everyone at work knew I was pregnant and most knew about the miscarriage.  I had a lot of support both at work and home. It made it a little easier.

I miscarried a Monday, went in Tuesday to leave sub plans, and took the rest of the week off.

That's completely your choice. I took a week off and I'm so glad I did. I really needed time to rest and wanted the bleeding to at least slow before I went back. It's your choice, maybe start with a week? Sorry for your loss x

I took 3 days.. wish I could have taken longer, I kept having to hide myself to cry.  (I had 3 pregnant employees,  feeling first movements,  finding out the gendar, having her baby shower)

I took four weeks off. The first week i was in horrible pain because I wanted to miscarry naturally. I did pass mostly everything until the doctor told me my cervix was still open and had to take another week off. The last two weeks was recovering mentally as well as physically.
