Early period

I started birth control 2 weeks ago on the last day of my period. After talking to the gyno about regulating my hormones, we decided to try BC for a few months to see if it would help. She said that I could start it right away and will be fine. I may have some spotting. The last few days I had spotting which didn't surprise me since she warned me toe spect it for the first month or so. However, today spotting turned into flow. I don't know much about BC and have been doing some research, but I was wondering if I started 2 weeks early because of the BC changing my hormones or should I see the doc about it?
