If someone is hurting and abusing you, you should definitely leave, especially if that person has a mental health issue and is not actively seeking help.

If you can't handle it then leave, you are the most important person in your life so if you feel like either you're in danger from them or yourself (if their behaviour is effecting your mental state) then you should get out. Don't be afraid of being to "weak" to handle it, because that's a lot of stress to deal with.

Leaving someone just because they have bipolar disorder is a bit shit imo. Many people have bipolar disorder which is kept under control and they live normal lives.  
If the bipolar disorder isn't controlled and that is leading to abuse or other behaviour that you can't (and shouldn't)  live with then by all means leave. But do it because of the behaviour and not just because the person has an illness.

Crap, I voted wrong. I think it's wrong to break up with someone just because they have a mental illness but I voted before I saw the emotional abuse. Never stay with anyone who abuses in any form.

If you can't handle it and he's not willing to take medication and try to control it then get out ASAP! But if he's trying new medications and doing everything in his power to keep you, I think you should atleast stand by him and try. If it's just not there and your not happy, then leave but atleast give him a chance to try.

If it is negatively affecting the relationship in some way, then I could understand leaving the person. But people can't help having any type of mental illness, so to leave just because they have it is kinda cold hearted.

Depends. Are they trying to make it better? Are they taking medication? Are they seeing s therapist? If they are actually trying to better themselves I'd try to stick around but if you are constantly getting hurt you do have to put yourself first. Mental illness causes tricky situations in relationships :/
