Paraguard IUD

Cassaundra
I'm getting married May of this year. I've never been had a kid or sex in the matter. I'm looking at my birth control options now and I'm really not a fan of hormone based methods. I'm really interested in paraguard- the copper IUD. I love the fact that I don't have to worry about doing anything once it is in. However, I don't have insurance that would cover it so I would have to pay out of pocket which is around $900. I'm completely healthy and am 21 years old. I've read about people who have had problems with it and my only fear is that I will have problems and will need to get it removed and will have lost around $1,000. I'm looking for opinions for those who have had it and their opinions about it. Thanks!
