Gestational hypertension?? 16 weeks pregnant

Question

Hi all, I just left my Dr and after the 3rd time of registering high blood pressure levels he is concerned and now wants it to be monitored daily and I have to do a 24hr protein urine collection. He said that if my blood pressure is to rise after week 20 and 30 that they may have to end the pregnancy early (34 weeks). Has anyone else experienced this???

With my first pregnancy I developed high blood pressure at 15 weeks. I did the 24 hour urine test and everything was fine. My doctor put me on a blood pressure medication and it stayed fine the rest of the pregnancy. I delivered at 39 weeks 5 days. I've been on the blood pressure medication ever since. I'm on my third pregnancy now. My second pregnancy was normal, delivered at 38 weeks 6 days and I'm 26 weeks now and so far, so good. I remember being terrified when it happened with my first. I'm sure everything is fine. As long as you don't have any complications like preeclampsia baby will be fine! Good luck to you!

I am going through the same thing currently.. My blood pressure was 142/82 at my last appointment

That's serious stuff. I went in for weekly non stress tests due to baby being intra uterine growth restriction and had high pressure. I was 29 weeks. They shipped me to a bigger hospital and my preeclampsia turned into hellp syndrome. Had an emergency csection at 30 weeks 6 days. Try and read lowering it naturally and do whatever you can!
