Ovulation If Infertile?

Question

I've heard both that you can have a normal cycle while infertile or you could not have a cycle at all while infertile. I was curious if you ovulate and actually produce an egg if infertile? Would ovulation show up on ovulation kits if infertile?

It depends what your classifying as "infertile"... There are women who ovulate but can't get pregnant (naturally) because their Fallopian tubes are blocked, but they can get pregnant via IVF... There are women who having lining issues in their uterus so embryos can't implant correctly... There are several scenarios where a woman who can't "get pregnant naturally" still ovulate...

My cycle is always regular and the tests I took with the doctor showed I was ovulating, but we had no luck in 18months of trying.  I was recently diagnosed with mild endometriosis which does affect fertility, so despite ovulating and having a regular period we would find it hard to conceive.

So yes in a nutshell!

Now I've been treated we are trying again and hoping for those two lines soon.
