How to get a flat stomach?

I always had trouble gaining weight growing up then 3 years after I got my gallbladder taken out I started gaining weight and now have a stomach that sticks out. I don't like it. How can I get it to being flat again? I'm 5'7'' and 137 lbs. BMI is normal whereas before I started gaining weight it was underweight forever.

Maybe try walking a mile a day. Make sure you burn off more calories than what you eat in a day. Do some crunches. Don't drink any pop, they say it helps to lose weight if you drink a gallon of water a day (google it, it's true)

Have you tried going to a nutritionist and see if you react badly to any foods ? I know I don't have celiac diesease but when I eat gluten it's just stored there for days ever since I've eaten a healthy balance diet minus the gluten and exercised I couldn't be happier !
