What does putting it in Gods hand mean to you?

I'm not happy in my relationship, he's not the type of person I want to be with for various reasons. But I have no job, or anything and 5 kids, plus more than anything I just don't want to leave my kids (It would break my heart being away from them while he has them😪💔) I want to put it in Gods hands but don't know what exactly that means, do I leave him and hope for the best, or do I stay and see where the relationship goes?
