Implantation - please share your experiences

Hi ladies,

My husband and I have been TTC for about 8 months. I don't track my ovulation/fertile days using a basal thermometer or checking CM. So I don't know exactly when I ovulate. My cycle is 28 days and for the past several months, AF has been right on time (went off BC in July 2015 and my cycle sometimes fluctuated after that). AF is due Sunday (4 days away). I had some light cramping yesterday but no spotting. Cramping is a bit more severe today, still no spotting. I woke up with a terrible headache yesterday. My breasts are sore, but only slightly and I've been running a lot, which sometimes makes them sore. I'm tired, but I'm employed full time and am working on my PhD...so being tired is pretty normal. I usually don't start cramping until the day of my period. Definitely never 4-5 days before.

Could this possibly be implantation cramps? I know spotting doesn't occur in all women. I'm not one of those women who takes a dozen pregnancy tests every month. I wouldn't go that route unless AF was late. So basically I'm driving myself crazy and wondering if you all can share your experiences when you WERE pregnant - how many days before expected AF did you have symptoms? Any symptoms other than cramps?
