Diflucan for yeast infection?

So I called my doctor about an yeast infection several weeks ago. The nurse that she would call me in Diflucan, which she said was safe, but I felt uncomfortable taking prescription medicine when I haven't tried anything else.

I waited for several weeks, it didn't go away despite having probiotics and yogurt almost every day, so I called my Doctor and asked her again to call in Diflucan to my pharmacy. I pick it up from the pharmacy and took it last night.

I realize today that it's a class C drug. Nothing to do about it now, but I feel like I should be very careful about everything my doctor says. What do you guys think?

I took it before I realized it was class c and everything is fine. Yeast infections can cause premature labor so the benefits outweigh the risks.

I've done 5 rounds of Diflucan this pregnancy.  It's safer than in infection

Top two are the gel capsule it's in (from my understanding) echinacea is of course know for its immune boosting abilities, Pau D'Arco is know for immune boosting abilities, garlic is used in food, and the same goes for oregano. First two are generally known as teas. This is a pill form for easier consumption. All it does is boosts your immune system to do what it was meant to do and the last two creates a acidic environment that yeast cannot survive in. It dies and your system flushes it out. The others in between I understand to be preservatives to keep the herbs dry. I could be wrong on that but that's what I've figured out. It basically helps your body do what it was meant to do.

I have a yeast and fungal detox by NaturesSunshine I use. Had a HORRIBLE yeast infection and this cleared it out in four days with the maximum dose. Safe for pregnancy. Might look into that if you're concerned about taking meds.

I specifically avoided taking diflican because it was cat C. My dermatologist tried to give me some acne meds. I asked like 4 times if they were safe and she said yes... Did some research of my own and wasn't comfortable taking it. So I ask about meds, then do my own research. I treated my yeast with Monistat 3 (which was one of the meds my OB recommended). Worked like a charm. Although diflican is WAY easier, I decided to play it safe.
