I went to see my doctor about 6 weeks ago because I had very long cycles (48-60 days) and lots of pelvic pain. She order bloods to check all my hormones levels and a pelvic scan. All my hormones were normal but the pelvic scan very clearly showed "textbook polycystic ovaries" according to the sonographer (who was sad no students were there to show because they were so impressively polycystic) and my doctor diagnosed Polycystic ovarian syndrome.
