Adult diapers or pads after birth?

I've heard adult diapers for bleeding is best after birth and I'm thinking of trying them but my mom thinks I'm totally insane for wanting to! I started with tampons from my very first period, so I've never dealt with pads before, so either way it'll be a new experience for me. Just wondering what your opinions would be?

Use the hospital underwear with the pads they give you and then decide once you run out what you need. I used adult diapers for a week because they didn't leak AT ALL. Then I used the jumbo pads but my bleeding wasn't heavy so those were terribly uncomfortable, and I ended up switching to ultra thin nighttime pads and just changed them more often :)

Just use the pads and panties the hospital provides. They can give you a pack of each to take home.

I bought adult diapers for night times! I haven't had my baby yet so I don't know how well they work but same as you I've only ever used tampons besides after my miscarriages and found that pads leak.. I don't want to have to be changing my bedding at night with a newborn

The adult diapers were way too itchy and uncomfortable for me. I tried them after I had my son. I so wish I would have ordered the monster sized pads they gave me at the hospital though. Those in my mesh hospital undies  were perfect. I could not find any that big at any of the stores though. They were a good 1 1/2ft long and maybe 6 inches wide. I forget since it has been so long. But they were very very big.

I'm breastfeeding and I'm 5 day PP. I didn't bleed nearly as much as I thought I would. I know everyone is different but I'm glad I bought pads instead of the diapers.

My hospital had two different pads for post partum care, one kind they gave you only  in the delivery wing and no where else, those I loved and the others in the post partum wing which I did not care for. But I used the latter until the last day at hospital then asked my husband to go grab me some adult diapers so I could wear on the way home. Got the depends silhouette and they fit snug to the body and are undetectable under clothing. Even when wearing jeggings or leggings.

I was thinking of getting adult diapers for night. I never liked pads when I was younger so pretty much used tampons from the beginning as well. So I will get both and see which I like better.

I used huge pads last time and leaked bad! I figure the diapers will be so much easier and less messy!!!!
