Does being in relationship with best friend ruin friendship ?

Me & my best friend of 9years got into a relationship and it got pretty serious pretty quick.. & now it's on verge of falling.. But we love each other... He's just having problems letting things go iGuess... Does getting into a relationship ruin the friendship ,...?

Depends it could be an amazing foundation for a great relationship. Or it could ruin a friendship if your jealous sides start to reveal. I've was bestfriends with my partner for 10 years and we've been together for one. It's been very up and down because we thought we knew each other so well but knowing some as friends is so different to knowing someone when you become theirs.

I lost my virginity to my  close friend at 15. I thought if i was gonna lose it to anyone it might aswell be him because i loved him and i regret it so badly. We had been close friends since about 7 years old and we haven't  spoken ever since and im 23 now. We just couldn't look at each other the same and our friendship just fell apart.
