Does anybody else's boyfriend drive them crazy with video games?

That's all he ever wants to do. He wakes up and gets on it. Comes home from work gets on it. We might watch a movie or two. But he is always on the fucking Xbox. I'll give him the benefit he's not from my hometown. We used to be long distance like 2 hours apart for the first year. And we just got our apartment about 2 years ago. So I get he is bored and he talks to his friends from back home every night and other ppl on there. But this has become my life. 
Yes we have 2 TV's. But it gets boring watching movies alone in the room by myself. And why should I have to go in the room. I'm sorry I'm rambling buf wtf am I alone??

My ex did this. My father did this. I have come to the conclusion that should I EVER come second to a video game again, not only am I leaving their ass, but I'm breaking every game they own. People who do this are trash.

I go through this with my husband, it's frustrating and annoying and after discussing it, he'll get upset and then it'll be fine for a few days and then the cycle would just restart. I wish I had advice for you but I've tried everything and it doesn't work 😔 I won't leave my husband over his but it is irritating and some days just incredibly unbearable when I find myself in a different room watching friends on repeat on Netflix just because he's gaming and not spending time with me like he used to. Tried doing my own thing and have my own hobbies but even after let's say a gym sessions I'll come home n instead of hanging out he'd still be gaming 😒 if u ever find a solution to this long term lol let me know! Even our sex life has been a bit affected by this!

I game, my husband games... I guess we just do whatever I. The others company. Sometimes I watch something or read while he games, sometimes we game together, sometimes he reads while I game...

Have you tried it? Do you game at all? If not, ask if you can play a game with him. It's one of his intrests, maybe an adictice one. But still.

When I was still dating my boyfriend he would text me and we would be having a serious conversation and then he would stop because he started playing a game and it was more important. I would get so mad and would ignore him when he would text me that he was done playing his game.

My partner spends 2-12+ hours a day playing video games depending on the day. It's never really bothered me. He does his thing. I do mine. We hang out in the same room and he kinda half ass watches tv with me or talks with me while he's playing.

No offense to gamers. I hate video games and I cannot be with male gamers I hate those relationships. One of the first questions I asked when dating was "do you play video games?" If they said yes I was gone. I left my ex as it was the same as you describe and I was so unhappy. My husband is not a gamer. We are extremely happy. We go to Europe every year, Hawaii/Maui every anniversary. We do things as a team, outside away from video games.  Good luck!  Don't settle!

I take the aproch of talking about it and saying I know you like to play vidoe games and that you need your space and time with your friends but I need time with you so we need to work out a compromise of
Time for you to play alone time for me to hang out / play with you and time for you and me to do other things and that seems to work for me
