Feeling sad tmi

My period is 4 days late and now I'm experiencing red spotting. I have a yi and used monistat 7 last night and had a bad burning reaction. I might have inserted it too high following the directions. Now I'm sad that my period might be starting. We just started trying to have a baby but I was excited that I would be pregnant already and I still hope that I am and that this spotting stops. :/ so upset.
