Birthing house

We are going to be skipping the hospital this time!! We were approved to have the baby at a birth house near our house and right by the hospital (just in case)!! They have a tub for water births in the room. I am so excited. Has anyone had any experience with a birth house? Any advice or things I should know about? How long do you usually stay before you take baby home? Thanks!!
