Is e.l.f. a good brand?

I'm looking at buying all new makeup from e.l.f. I currently use various brands from rite aid, but I wanted better quality without breaking the bank. Is it good quality makeup? What's your experience?

Elf has great brushes in their studio lines ( black handles) and some of the eye shadow brushes with the white handles are pretty good too. But if you're able to get the wet n wild ones too I'd go for those ones they're about the same price.

mascaras -honestly suck they have little to no pigment and don't give any volume or make your lashes longer.

HD concealer - great as well but if you can get la girl pro concealer id say go with that, same price $3

HD powder - pretty good except it comes with little product and gives horrible flashback.

The airspun loose powder is the same price and has a lot more product and the NYC one is pretty good too. but I'm not sure about the flashback but if anything I'd say go with the airspun one.

Studio line blushes - a bit powdery but good 
baked blushes- nope, 
blush pallette -to die for and the pressed mineral ones are great too.

Brow pencil and kit -great quality, very creamy and easy to blend and pigmented.

matte eyeshadow pallette - crazy pigmented and easy to blend and most of their baked eyeshadows are fabulous. baked eyeshadow palettes - not good,have almost no pigment.

matte lip pencils - really good but the lipsticks are alright, I'd recommend the $1.99 lipsticks from wet n wild more.

Baked  highlighters -  crazy intense but you do have to warm up the product with your finger first. if you want you can use the baked eyeshadows in enchanted for a medium to deep skin tone and for lighter complexions they have one that's called lmoonlight  I think it's really good

Really everything from their line is really good but mascaras are a huge miss for me and lipsticks are okay. But all their 4 pan palettes are great. And I hope this wasn't too difficult to understand I went pretty fast

It's hit or miss. Their new brushes that are six dollars are fabulous but I would spend your money on Bh cosmetics. They are in expensive but everything is high quality

I really love ELF makeup brushes because you can get one for $1 at Walmart or Walgreen's and they last a really long time and are really soft

It was really bad for me. I usually use high end make up and I tried their setting spray and some other products and it made me look sooooo oily.

It really depends on what you buy. Brushes are ok and the baked highlighter is good too. Nyx is really good and cheap!
