Fainting after showers??

Question

Has anyone had problems feeling like they may pass out in the shower.  I am 22 and 3 days  and every time I take a shower I feel like afterwards I need to sit down to keep from passing out or throwing up. It's only when I wash my hair. So avoid washing it now but I feel gross. I really scared husband and sister today. Just trying to find out if this is normal.

This happened to me as well. It was my blood pressure. It was too low. The warm water I hear helps lower it?  I have to drink more water and include more salt in my diet.

My doctor mentioned getting light headed in the shower. Which I thought was very random but I guess it happens a lot! He said make sure you are having sugar and eating before getting in the shower and of course drink lots of water. Hope that helps. Feel better!

Most important tip when standing: don't lock your knees straight...keep them a little bent and try to keep your lower legs moving so that it pushes the blood from your lower legs up to your brain. Feeling light headed or dizzy while standing usually happens because of all the blood pooling in the lower part of the legs

Yes don't take very hot showers for some reason it's not safe during pregnancy.  Doctor told me to avoid it.

Try a bath sometimes maybe that may help because you aren't standing so long

I have low blood pressure to begin with like 101/60 so I have no idea what it probably plummeted to when I fainted but I took a shower today cold water still felt bad after

Yes all the time, and I feel like I'm going to throw up everywhere after :/

Yes same here, my Obgyn said not to be in one position for to long so I mix it up on the shower and sometimes sit. It has helped and also eating more protein and carbs, making sure I am eating every two hours it has helped alot.

wash ya hair after u bathe in the sink..or change ya shampoo might be the smell
