When do infants outgrow an infant

Car seat? On the box it says it goes up to 35 lbs but it's so small i don't see how that's possible. Lol when did you do the transition? Sorry I'm a ftm and clueless haha

I use the infant car seat for a year. Along with weight limits there are height limits. My kids were always tall and would grow out of it around the year mark. Their next car seat I would continue to have rear facing, waiting to forward face until 2 years.

My son is turning 2 in June and we just bought a bigger car seat. He's on the smaller size so he still fits

Mine goes to 40lbs and 35". You can look it up and see how tall they can be to be in it.

It also goes by height. Some babies me only be 20lbs but could be too long. They usually outgrow the length before theorist. I think they are supposed to be within an inch or two inches of seat still showing beyond their head and feet to be safe. But honestly, once your baby gets bigger, it should be easy to recognize...

I did the transition when she was sitting up by herself . we still use the infant car seat at her baby sitters

Is your baby just getting tall and that's why you think they're outgrowing it? I think the weight limit is for like chubby babies who are really wide lol if that makes sense. Just remember they can cross their legs and still be comfortable.

I think we switched around a year old. The reason we did was because he was too tall and had started crying and having a meltdown every time he was put into his seat, because he ended up so cramped in it. So that was how I judged it. He is two now and in the Diono Radian convertible seat, still rear facing. I definitely recommend buying a seat that either takes you from infant to toddler, or buying a toddler to booster seat after the infant one, because your money is much better spent that way. The Radian goes from infant all the way to 115lbs.

My daughter is 3 and is still under 30lbs! I switched her when she became tall enough and heavy enough for a toddler seat. I think it was around 15-18 months.
