Why get a c-section??

Why are so many ladies  getting a c-section just for the convenience of having a scheduled birth? I keep seeing ladies posting there getting c-section with no medical reason for having one?  And most of them are doing it around 38weeks...don't get me wrong I am ready right now at 38weeks and 4days but I'm positive my daughter will be here when she's ready to be here not when I'm ready..and believe me I'm soooo ready. But not trying to push my labor to be at my convenience.

The American dream bigger boobs fatter butt baby delivered on a schedule soon enough we'll be able to choose boy or girl whether they implant two babies 3 babies for babies I mean come on you know how people are now don't be surprised. The new trend these days is let's see how much weight we won't gain for the baby so that when we have the baby we can post a pic to show how flat are stomach is because we ate like f****** Birds while we were pregnant and gained 4 pounds its America we're f****** ridiculous

I honestly didn't even know you could do that? At least here in Canada I know you can't choose to have a c section for no reason.

I find it selfish... Yeah they're considered full term but still... They stay in 40 weeks for a reason 😂

My doctor has asked me if I want to get an elective csection as many young women do, but hell no!!! Not for me! Having a csection is one of my biggest fears idk why someone would really elect it for no reason.

I've seen girls on here talking about wanting one. I don't get it. That's my biggest fear. The recovery time is longer and it's way harder in the long run!

I just had an emergency c section Saturday because my twins came early. I honestly don't see how women choose it over delivering vaginally. I'm literally in the worst pain of my life. This recovery hurts soooo damn bad. My first pregnancy I delivered naturally and was on my feet walking in a few hours. This shit is unbareable

I would never want to voluntarily get a c-section. I read one girl on here had to get an emergency c-section then an emergency hysterectomy because her uterus didn't contract back. Now she can't have any more kids and it was her first baby. Atleast she had one healthy baby but now she can't get pregnant again. I feel for her and fear the same if I ever had to get one. I have a tilted cervix and was told I may not be able to deliver vaginally but I'm going to aim to have my baby naturally and praying I don't have to get a c-section plus it takes longer to heal.

I don't know. My 21 yr old sister and her best friend both had elective c-sections last year. I don't understand why anyone would volunteer to have a major surgery.  Volunteer to have layers of their body cut open when not medically necessary.  My mother is pissing me off about this, she keeps telling me to do this and says if she could have us 3 over again, she'd do it that way.  My hospital doesn't even do elective surgery because of the higher risk of infection and longer recovery.  They only do them if absolutely medically necessary.

I dont get it either, I have to have a c-section and when I found out I was so bummed I cried for an hour. I broke my neck when I was 7 so to prevent further damage or risk it breaking completely in half resulting in me being paralyzed from my neck down they are making me get a c-section. My sons health and well being comes before anything else but some women don't know what I would give to be able to experience a natural birth.

I've surprisingly seen so many women on here want one so it can fit around their schedule. And their doctors go with it... I don't get it honestly ..
