Yes.
Terminally ill patients with the assistance and support of counselors and trained medical staff should be allowed to terminate their lives.
I fully support the Death with Dignity act.

It's far better than suicide attempts some people take because options aren't available. On a side note, as a kid I assumed it was a normal thing.. I asked my grandma when she was going to be put down 😂 never complain about your arthritis around me grandma

Absolutely. If someone is in so much pain that they, in sound mind, want to die, then let them die in peace and with dignity. I know I would want that option.

As a nurse who has seen death prolonged and dragged out...100% absolutely yes!

If I'm going to die a horribly long and painful death where I will have no dignity left then I would like to be able to go on my own terms before it gets to that point. And if you think terminally ill people shouldn't have that right then you're selfish for wanting to force them through an agonizing death.

I also don't understand the "playing God argument".. Aren't all the medical devices used to keep someone alive also "playing God". Anyone care to debate this?

My theory on this is that if I let my dog suffer in pain, I could (should) go to jail for animal abuse. However, I'm supposed to allow my mom to suffer indefinitely? No f'in way.

Does that include both people who are suicidal and terminally ill, or just terminally ill? I support it if it's for terminally ill patients, but I don't think I would other than that. If it's something like depression, there's other ways you can deal, like therapy...
