Trying for a baby.

Me and my boyfriend have been together for a year. We just recently started trying to have a baby but in February I had 2 days of faint spotting took a test a few days later and negative. Then I started using this app and tracking. Well I took a test this month and still negative. My boyfriend thinks that he shoots blanks because with an ex the condom broke once and he ejaculated in her 3 different times while they were dating and she never ended up pregnant. I really want to have a child but I'm worried that won't happen.
