What to do?

My boyfriend is white and I am black. We have been dating for almost a year and a half yet this past Easter his parents decided to express that they do not like or approve of our relationship. What should I do??

They aren't the ones in the relationship. If you and your boyfriend are happy, then that's what matters. They will get used to it and get over it. To me it sounds like they have a narrow mind. I would ignore them and focus on your relationship. Good luck! ❤️

      Honestly to me the only thing that matters is the intentions of your SO not their ethinicity, but so many older generations have a hard time with that even still. 
    Mexican woman always give me the stink eye like I'm taking one of theirs away.  My SO is only half Mexican his other half is German(Im part German too and Native but I'm super light and he's kind of dark) We still get JUGDED everywhere even though we are in CA and most couples in CA are biracial because "most" people in CA aren't 100% anything. 
     If you let his familie's opinion get to you it will cause unecessary drama and could even ruin the relationship. My advise is if you both truily love each other pay no attention to negativity and continue to grow as a couple regardless of who does and does not approve. The relationship is you and him and if a family member doesn't agree that's their loss not yours.
   Plus mixed families are always the best and most interesting in my opinion if every family was the same life would be boring  ^_<

Carry on with your life with your boyfriend and don't pay any attention to his small minded parents. They will need to grow to love you for you and not the colour of your skin!! It is 2016 after all.....

Both of you flip the finger and get on building your life together. They are your boyfriends parents so he should stand up for your relationship and tell them how it is x

You need to decide, along with your boyfriend, how you two are willing to proceed. I'm assuming that because you mentioned race that that is their objection to the relationship, which is unfortunate. However, no matter what their issue, you need to decide if it's insurmountable. If it is you decide if you can live with that conflict or he needs to decide if he can live without them.
