My daughter is 7 she has 2 special blankets she sleeps with every night. The rule is they are to sleep with they do not come out of her room. Unless shes sick and laying on the couch or we're traveling somewhere overnight they get packed.

Never , eventually if they want they'll grow out of it. 
I'm sure they don't want a room full of stuffed animals when they are older. Makes less room for makeup or video games.

My bff still sleeps with hers & I have mine still but I don't use it, but I'm saving it so I can give it to my babies . It's still in great condition 😌

My sister and I are in our 30s and still have them. We are on our second blanket. It is more to cuddle with now when my SO isn't with me. I don't have it when he is.

My son had his blankie that he carried everywhere. It may have been 26 years old when he got it, it still looked brand new because my Mom never let me have it. My son carried that thing everywhere and it slept by his side for 5 years. When he was 5, he wanted to take it to school when he started, so we had a long big talk about how blankie was getting "old" and would need to be retired to the baby box soon. He was a big boy about it and agreed. That blankie has more holes than Swiss cheese and is horribly faded, all signs it was loved well. He's 8 now and will occasionally ask about blankie, and we sometimes bring it out when he's sick, but back to the box it goes when he's feeling better.
