Membrane sweep at 1cm?

Doctor did a membrane sweep today and 38+5.  I'm only 1cm dilated...should I expect anything to come from it??

I had my membranes swept a couple days ago at 38 weeks. I was 1 cm. I was a little crampy and the next day I started to lose a small amount of mucus and now today, nothing.. 😕 still trying to be patient...

Yes! With my first I got it done about 4:00 went to bed that night with a lot of pressure and pain and woke up the next morning lost my mucus plug and then the next morning my son was born! Hoping it goes the same with my second!
