I'll start off by saying that my mother and MIL do not get along. My MIL recently reached out to her to ask about planning ahead for a shower and my mother provided a less than cooperative response. To avoid drama, my husband and I are considering throwing a good ol' fashioned BaBy-Q at our house. Everyones invited, pool will be open, fire pit going and food on the grill and smoker. Has anyone else considered throwing their own shower? I'm also considering this to show gratitude to our guests for the gifts.. First grandchild/ great grandchild in the fam so he will be spoiled. Thoughts or feedback are appreciated!
