Bed rest at 37 weeks?

Okay... Am I crazy for not understanding the point of bed rest at 37 weeks? Especially since it's for HBP? Anyone else experience this?

It was more of a confusion on keeping me on bedrest rather than inducing. Completely understand that bed rest in general is safe for me and the baby

I was 34 when put on bed rest for PIH. It's because it is safer for both you and baby. High blood pressure is no joke during pregnancy, it can cause several issues. Better safe than sorry I'd say.

Maybe its just so your blood pressure doesnt go higher??

Yes was places on it today as well. My blood pressure was 149/82 and they found 2+ protein in my urine pee. So now I'm on bed rest doing a 24 hour pee test and home and I'll go and do blood work tomorrow after 2r hour to see if we will induce.
