Has anyones cat ever experienced arthritis? What did you do to help?  Did you eventually have to put them down?

Hey there, I work with vet techs, get your kitty some joint supplements with glucosamine and maybe MSM--depends how bad it is.

Look for GlycoFlex Feline Formula or Cosequin for Cats. Also, get the soft chew version if you can. There's one brand called Joint MAX that makes a liquid version as well, if kitty doesn't go for the chew treats.

I had a dog with arthritis and we gave him glucosamine and it helped him so much. He eventually got cancer and we had to put him down though.

Heat!!! If u have a old sock and rice pour some in the sock and microwave! Lay it against ur cat it will help some, u can also try a warm water bottle or a heating pad on a warm or low setting!

My dad's dog has had arthritis for years now, she turned 15 on April 15. Most of her pain is in her hips and rear legs. Despite the arthritis, she still gets around well and sometimes acts like a puppy. There are good days and bad days, of course. Glucosamine helps quite a bit with her joint pain and mobility. Talk to your vet and see if they recommend any supplements.
