My birth story!

Sara • I'm a part-time student studying Naturopathy, I work part-time, I have a 7yr old and am getting married in October!
So I was due on the 15th, told I'd go early because he was so big but the 15th came and went and at our 40 week appt were told baby was LOP or 'sunny side up' and his whole head was not fitting in my pelvis. Was given exercises to do and new sleep positions but I was so upset. I googled and asked some midwife friends who suggested a few things and one was Chiro! I felt crap anyway so booked an appt on the 18th. I walked out feeling a million bucks! Light and comfortable pelvis and back. Sleep came so easily but I was awoken at 5am on the 19th with period pain and incredible hunger. Got up and had a nice big bowl of porridge. Went to wee and there was my bloody show. Cramping got worse and then started at regular intervals by 9 am contractions were at 3 mins apart so went to hospital. 4cm dilated, so bummed. But after 7hours and 41mins and 2 giant pushes our little man was born, 9lb 2.5oz 52cm long and just perfect- normal vaginal birth with no tearing or stitches. Good luck mamas! Ps there was no lead up or warning it just started
