Where is your baby sitting in the car?

Hi mommies! Just curious as to where your baby's car seats will be sitting! Obviously they will be in the back, but which seat?

Middle seat in the back is the safest spot for the baby. We learned that in one of our infant safety classes. Think about it, if you were in an accident, especially a side impact, why would you put the car seat right next to a door, with a higher chance of being hit by the oncoming car?

It's safest to have them placed in the middle seat I you don't have a gold down drink holder.

We bought a van to accomdate this baby. Our oldest son (age 12) will go in the third row wherever he chooses, our 2 1/2 year old is behind my husband on the passenger side, and the baby will go behind me on the driver side. There is no middle seat choice for us. But we chose to put our 2 year old on the passenger side so that we could buckle her in first since she is mobile and the baby will be in a carrier for the first few months. This will eliminate the chances of our 2 year old running while we put the baby in, especially if I am alone with them.

Because this is my second, I'm hoping to have him in the middle seat and my three year old on the driver side (she's forward facing). I'm just worried that she will be trying to hold his hand or messin around with him. So he might end up being on the passenger side.

I'm going to have to have my 4 year old on one side and the baby on the other I don't think it's safe to have the baby in the middle and have 2 car seats hooked to 1 latch! I don't want either of them by a door but if you have a growing family most the time you don't have a choice

I have a tahoe and don't have a middle seat. I don't like the baby behind me because I can't see her when driving.

My 2 year old will be behind me and the newborn behind the passenger seat. I don't want my 2 year old to be able to touch the baby because he is rougher than what he realizes and tries to help.

My son is on the passenger side back seat. We are putting the new baby's car seat in the middle. That's just how we have to do it.

Our car is small and because my husband is so tall he puts the seat all the way back. If it fits in the middle it will go there otherwise it will have to be behind the passenger side and if he is with us he gets to drive as the passenger seat will not go back far enough for him.  Small car problems! If we go on longer trips we will take his car and bub will be in the middle though. We brought the smallest car seat we could buy it will still be tight.
