Removing steri strips?

So I'm 17 days out from my c-section and my steri strips are still on. They said I could take them off by myself at some point but I don't remember when they said I could. Should I wait longer before taking them off? I'm worried I'll mess it up if I take them off.

Mine came off on day 5 as per midwife instruction and I got my hubby to do it in the shower so they were wet and easier to take off xxx

I removed mine around 3 weeks bc the sweat started to smell bad lol

My doctor told me at 2 weeks it was safe to remove the glue. (He used glue in place of the strips because I have an adhesive allergy. He gave me the same time frame for removing the glue as if I had the strips)

7-10 days is the norm. There's no benefit after this
