❤️Happy Birthday, Glen Campbell! What an amazing, inspiring man. For those of you who don't know, he was diagnosed with and suffered from Alzheimer's. His family made a movie called "I'll Be Me". If you haven't seen it, please do! It is such a good movie that shines light on the many aspects of Alzheimer's. Unfortunately, Alzheimer's is one of the biggest health crises we have in the U. S. Currently, there are no cures and only medication to treat some of the symptoms. So, why is this not a top priority with our government? 1 in 3 seniors die with an Alzheimer's or dementia diagnosis. The life expectancy for someone after a diagnosis of Alzheimer's is 4-8 years. I think this is a disease that gets overlooked as just grandma or grandpa getting old and forgetful. Let's not forget the struggle of the families and the person living with Alzheimer's. ❤️
