Shower for second baby ?

What's the protocol? Especially when gender is different second time around

Different gender second time around and they are 5 years apart. I think it's perfectly acceptable to have a shower or sprinkle. I'm not having one because i dont like showers and there isn't a whole lot we need, plus what we do need we don't need right this second.

We did. Girl then I boy. It was my last shower though. After that we've just had diaper parties.

I'm having a baby shower for my 2nd baby and it's the same gender. I didn't keep any clothes (our first child is 5) and I only kept a couple blankets.

I think it's perfectly acceptable! We aren't finding out the sex but we are going to have a "diaper party" instead of a baby shower because I feel like that's all we need
