Ok so I have lots to say lol get ready for a paragraph lmao. 
So the first time I tried anal was with my ex fiancée and he had a (not bashing just being honest) super small dick. So anal actually hit my g spot better made me squirt and what not. Lube wasn't really a necessity as long as he got me "warmed up" I guess. Finger in make you losen up and Get more comfortable. If your SO has a big dick ya it hurts so much more and lube and more loosening up is a necessity!!
